  • About Therapy

Therapy is a life-changing process dedicated to healing, understanding and growth. It is a compassionate, confidential haven for confronting truths and making positive change, for addressing difficulties and nurturing wounds, and for strengthening and deepening relationships. Therapy offers an open, honest space to investigate your life and its meaning and to examine with genuine curiosity the choices you are making. At its most powerful, it is an invitation to discover and know yourself deeply and to develop an authentic, healthy way of being in the world.

  • About Me

My approach to therapy is informed by several theories and modes of change, including psychodynamic theory, existential dialectics, and mindfulness. At heart, however, I work together with my clients to identify and overcome the obstacles standing in the way of becoming their best, most authentic selves in the world.

I have also learned that connecting with the natural world can be powerfully healing and transformative, and offer outdoor therapy for individuals along the ocean and in the redwoods. I also lead nature-based group therapy on a periodic basis.

I am an adjunct at Santa Clara Univerisity, teaching in the Counseling Psychology graduate program. I hold a B.A. in Psychology, Cum Laude, from the University of Michigan and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University. I have additionally earned a J.D. from the University of Utah College of Law and completed post-graduate work in public policy at the University of New Mexico.
